What Happened Last Night on Big Brother?

On Thursday evening, less than an hour after it began, Big Brother’s most recent Head of Household competition — an endurance-based game known as The Wall Competition — concluded, with Jared Fields being crowned the new HOH.

Jared begins Week 7 with his second Head of Household victory of the season. He previously served in this capacity during Week 5. The Wall Competition is a simple game in which participants must cling to a continuously tilting wall while using the fewest possible handholds and footholds to remain upright as slime is splattered on them and large balls are hurled at them.

On Thursday, the final three competitors were Jared, Bowie, and Blue. Bowie jumped off the wall abruptly after Blue eventually fell off it, allowing Jared to win the competition.

Jared’s triumph follows Izzy’s eviction from the house by a vote of 8-1 (again, spoiler alert)! Felicia, who had been seated next to Izzy on the nomination block all week, was anticipated to leave the competition prior to America and Cory’s vote flip. See our full recap of Thursday’s episode for additional information.

The Pressure Cooker, a well-known endurance competition that had not been performed since Season 6, was reintroduced by Big Brother earlier this season. Compared to the 45 minutes that the housemates spent on the wall on Thursday, this competition lasted nearly 14 hours.
