Homeowners must have paid property taxes on their Montana homes and owned it for at least seven months in 2023 to be eligible. It is noteworthy that properties that are owned by irrevocable trusts or entities are not eligible for this reimbursement.

The period from August 15 to October 1 is when applications for the rebate are accepted. The easiest way to apply is online, where the procedure may be finished in a matter of minutes.

“After submitting a claim online, rebates will be sent out within 30 days. Processing paper claims could take up to 90 days. Please wait at least 4 weeks for delivery after your rebate is completed before contacting us about your check. The taxpayer will receive rebate checks by mail; direct deposit is not offered.
