675 Stimulus Payment Deadline: A new stimulus check program in Montana could soon offer homeowners up to $675 in financial relief for property taxes paid during the 2023 fiscal year. To qualify, you must have owned and lived in your primary Montana residence for at least seven months in 2023. This program is available to individual homeowners who have paid their property taxes on time.

However, it’s important to note that properties owned by entities or irrevocable trusts do not qualify for this benefit. Make sure your property meets the eligibility criteria to take advantage of this opportunity.

With a maximum refund of $675, the amount you get will be determined by the property taxes you paid in 2023. You would be entitled to receive $425, for instance, if your property tax bill was that amount. Nevertheless, the reimbursement will not be more than $675, even if your taxes were greater.

Candidates must meet ownership and residency requirements in addition to having a valid Social Security Number and the property’s geocode, which identifies where the property is located in Montana. To be eligible for 2023, all property taxes—including any special assessments or other fees—must have been paid in full.

The application period for Montana’s stimulus check program, aimed at providing up to $675 in property tax relief, began on August 15, 2024, and ends on October 1, 2024. It’s crucial to submit your application by this deadline, as incomplete submissions will not be processed.
