The goal is to reach $15 per hour by 2026. After that the wage will be adjusted every year for the inflation. For people who earn through tips the base pay will rise from $9.98 to $10.98 per hour. The law says that when tips are added their total pay must be at least $14 per hour. If it does not reach that amount employers have to make up the difference.
