Every working person’s life must include a critical component of retirement planning and financial security. Employee Provident Funds (EPF) are one of the main ways people save money for retirement in India. This savings programme aims to maximise employees’ working years and secure a comfortable future.

The EPFO (Employee Provident Fund Organisation) has developed new ways for employees to check their EPF balance, both online and offline, because they understand how important it is to always be aware of the amount of your EPF account.

For information about the balance of their Provident Fund account, employees formerly had to rely on the annual EPF statement sent by their employers. Recent improvements have made it simpler and more accessible to check the EPF balance. Let’s examine the numerous ways of how to check your PF balance online?

Missed Call:

You can check your EPF balance by placing a missed call if you have registered and activated your mobile number on the UAN (Universal Account Number) portal and finished the KYC process for your UAN. From the cell number associated with your UAN, simply dial 011-22901406. You will receive a text message with information on your balance and the most recent contribution made to your PF account after the call automatically disconnects after two rings.

Sending an SMS:

By registering your UAN with EPFO, you can instantly check your PF balance. Send a text message with the subject “EPFOHO UAN ENG,” where “ENG” stands for the first three letters of the language you want to use. You will receive information on your PF balance in response when you send this message to the number 7738299899.

Online EPFO Portal:

Viewing your PF passbook is simple and convenient with the new EPFO online interface. Visit the EPFO website, go to the “Our Services” area, and choose “For Employees” to access this function. Select the ‘Member Passbook’ option under ‘Services’ by clicking. Enter your UAN and password to view your passbook. It’s important to keep in mind that in order for you to use these services, your employer must validate and activate your UAN.

The UMANG Mobile Application:

This application was created by the government to make it easier to monitor your PF balance. The app not only lets you examine your passbook, but it also makes it simple to raise and monitor claims. Register on the app by entering the one-time password that was supplied to your mobile number to get started.
