Lloyds Bank and Barclays Shutting Down 63 More Branches: Barclays has announced the closure of an additional 10 branches, while Lloyds Bank will close 21 Lloyds Bank branches, 15 Halifax branches, and 17 Bank of Scotland branches.
Barclays and Lloyds Bank have announced that they will close a large number of bank branches, dealing a new setback to Britons who prefer to conduct their banking in person.
Several major banks have already announced the closure of hundreds of branches this year due to the decline in demand for in-person services as more people migrate online.

These ten Barclays locations will close in August and September 2023:
- 100 Market Street, St Andrews – August 9
- 32 High Street, Chalfont St Peter – August 31
- 4 Corn Street Leominster – September 1
- 8 Market Street, Wellingborough – September 1
- 61 Lower Ground Floor, The Arcade, Westfield, London – September 1
- 60 Putney High Street, London – September 1
- 131 Finchley Road, London – September 6
- 16 High Street, Harpenden – September 6
- 39 High Street , Haverhill – September 8
- Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge – September 15.
