Medi-Cal Income Limits 2024: What is the current income limit for Medi-Cal 2024 in California?

The US lacks a healthcare system, leading to welfare programs like California's Medi-Cal, which provide healthcare to eligible individuals.

Medi-Cal Income Limits 2024: The United States of America lacks a healthcare system, which makes it difficult for many citizens to deal with any health problems they may have.

Because of this, various welfare programs have been established to mitigate the effects of the absence of a free healthcare system. California’s Medicaid program, known as Medi-Cal, offers health care to individuals of any age who satisfy specific financial eligibility conditions.

While there are some ways to be eligible for Medi-Cal, the focus of this section is mainly on those people who are also eligible for Medicare, namely those who are disabled or over a particular age. “Dual eligibles” or “Medi-Medis” are those who meet the requirements for both Medicare and full Medi-Cal.

Medi-Cal Income Limits: Qualifications for eligibility

Californians who work but are disabled can get assistance through the 250% California Working Disabled (CWD) program. California legislation permits you to receive complete Medi-Cal coverage with no monthly cost if you are eligible as of July 1, 2022.

  • Have a job and be making money (this can be a part-time job).
  • Own a countable income that is less than 250% of the federal poverty line (which, in 2024, works out to $3,158 for single people and $4,280 for couples; the $20 disregard is included in these calculations). Income from disabilities does not contribute toward the cap, including:
