SNAP Texas Payment Schedule: The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) helps 3.4 million Texans get the food they need every month. Many people who are supposed to get benefits are waiting to hear when they will be sent. Here is the most up-to-date information on this week’s payment schedule.

It takes thirty days on average in Texas to get SNAP benefits. Once approved, people who get benefits can buy a wide range of foods, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and dairy products. But SNAP benefits can’t be used to buy things that aren’t food, like gasoline, alcohol, or tobacco.

Food Stamps Florida: When Your SNAP or TANF Benefits Will Arrive?

Texas uses a staggered payment schedule that runs from the first to the 28th of every month so that SNAP benefits are given out as evenly as possible. How payments are made is based on the last two numbers of each household’s Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number. This system makes sure that benefits are spread out evenly over the course of the month.

SNAP Texas Payment Schedule

When the payment is due is shown by the last two numbers of the EDG number. The following table shows how the people whose numbers are 35 through 57 will be paid this week:

  • 54-57: September 16
  • 58-60: September 17
  • 61-64: September 18
  • 65-67: September 19
  • 68-71: September 20
  • 72-74: September 21

With the payment schedule, SNAP participants in Texas can plan their grocery shopping and meals more easily. They’ll receive their benefits on time and in an organized way.
