Social security Australia: 5 Million Australians to Receive Boost in Social Security Payments on March 20

Parental benefits are set to be increased for five million Australians, providing social security relief from their hip pockets due to rising living costs.

Social security Australia: Around five million Australians are going to receive some respite from their hip pockets as a result of the rising cost of living.

Increases to the pension, JobSeeker, study, and parental benefits will be implemented on March 20 as part of the indexation of social security payments, which will take effect simultaneously.

It has been determined that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and wage measurements are connected to the increase in payments.

Amanda Rishworth, the minister of social services for the federal government, stated that the number one goal of the administration was to combat inflation and the cost of living.

“Pension recipients are some of the most vulnerable members of our communities, many having worked all their lives contributing to our society or caring for a loved one,” added the representative.

An increase of $19.60 per fortnight for singles and $29.40 per fortnight for couples will be made available to individuals who are currently receiving the age pension, disability support pension, or carer payment.
