TCA Florida August 2025 Payment: When Will Families Receive Their Cash Aid?

Thousands of low-income families in Florida are waiting for August’s Temporary Cash Assistance, expected within the first 10 business days.

TCA Florida August 2025 Payment: In Florida, thousands of families are now waiting for their August 2025 payment from the Temporary Cash Assistance program, also called TCA. This program is meant to give short-term help to families that have kids and are going through tough financial times. The main goal is to help them stay stable at home while the adults try to get jobs or prepare for one.

Will There Be a $2,000 Stimulus Payment in August 2025? Here’s What We Know

The TCA is there for families with children under 18 years old or 19 if the child is still in high school full-time. It also helps women who are in their last month of pregnancy and are not able to work. The program is run by ACCESS Florida, and it has some rules families need to meet to get the help.

For example, the family must not have more than $2,000 in assets, and their cars cannot be worth more than $8,500 unless they meet special rules. If a person is working, $90 will be taken off from their gross income before checking if they qualify.

When the Payment is Expected?

The Florida Department of Children and Families hasn’t said the exact date the payment will come in August. But if we look at how it worked before, the money is usually sent in the first 10 business days of the month.

Families should check their ACCESS Florida account or the official website at myflfamilies.com to see when their payment will arrive. It’s very important to make sure that your bank info and contact details are all correct, or the money might get delayed.

Requirements to access the TCA program

To receive TCA payments, applicants must meet a number of requirements in order to access the program’s benefits.

  1. Residence in Florida.
  2. Be a U.S. citizen or qualified non-citizen.
  3. Have a valid Social Security number or proof of application.
  4. Have family income below 185% of the federal poverty level.
  5. Not exceed 48 months of assistance as an adult (child-only cases are exempt).
  6. Comply with working regulations unless an exemption is granted.

Who Else can Get Help

There’s also a version of the TCA called the Family Caregivers Program. This is for adults who have been given legal custody of a child through a court. These caregivers get monthly money too, and the amount depends on how old the child is. This extra help means a lot to people who are taking care of kids who aren’t their own but need a home.

This type of assistance provides fixed monthly amounts, depending on the age of the minor:

  • 0 to 5 years: $242
  • 6 to 12 years: $249
  • 13 to 17 years: $298

How to apply for the TCA?

Those interested in receiving the TCA payment must apply through the ACCESS Florida portal. It is recommended to have all the necessary documents ready:

  • Birth certificate of minors.
  • Proof of residence in Florida.
  • Recent bank and income statements.
  • Proof of school enrollment (for children aged 18 or 19).

If a family doesn’t get their payment, the first thing they should do is check their account on the ACCESS Florida website. If that doesn’t help, they can contact the Department of Children and Families directly to ask what went wrong. Sometimes payments get delayed if something like a bank number or address is typed in wrong.
