In Texas, it takes about 30 days to review a SNAP application. With SNAP, you can buy certain foods, like fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, and dairy goods, once you are approved. But SNAP funds can’t be used to buy things that aren’t food, like cigarettes, alcohol, or gas.

Texas SNAP Schedule September: Who will receive it?

In Texas, SNAP benefits are spread out over the course of the month, from the first to the last day of the month. Each beneficiary’s Eligibility Determination Group (EDG) number is linked to their home, which makes sure that benefits are given out quickly and correctly.

The due date for the payment is shown by the last two numbers of the EDG number. The following table shows how the people whose numbers are 35 through 57 will be paid this week.

The schedule makes sure that every family gets their SNAP benefits on time every month.

If benefits are prorated when you apply, the prorated amount can be added to your EBT account as a lump sum, along with your next monthly payment.

The Lone Star Card is Texas’s EBT card, used to provide monthly SNAP benefits. You can use the Lone Star Card to buy eligible food items at stores that accept SNAP benefits.
