VA Disability Payment Schedule 2025: When Will Veterans Be Paid in August?

Veterans receiving VA disability benefits in August 2025 will get paid on August end. The VA adjusts payments if the usual date falls on a weekend or holiday.

VA Disability August Payment Schedule: Veterans who get monthly disability money from the VA depend a lot on knowing exactly when the payment is coming. These payments are important, especially for those who live on a fixed budget or take care of family. So knowing when money comes helps with planning and avoiding any money stress.

VA Disability August Payment Schedule

For August 2025, the VA will send out the payment on Friday, August 29. This might look confusing because July’s payment will arrive on August 1, so some might think they’re getting two payments in one month. But the one on August 29 is actually for September.

VA Chapter 35 August 2025 Payment: When Will It Be Deposited?

Usually VA sends the money on the first business day of the next month. But if that day falls on a weekend or holiday, they pay it earlier. That’s what’s happening in August. Since September 1 is a Monday holiday, the payment will be given earlier, on Friday, August 29.

People who count on these payments should plan their monthly budgets carefully because the timing can sometimes make things tricky. Even though it looks like two checks in one month, it’s really just the usual monthly schedule shifting due to the calendar.

Some of the next expected VA paydays in 2025 include:

  • July 2025 – Friday, August 1
  • August 2025 – Friday, August 29
  • September 2025 – Wednesday, October 1
  • October 2025 – Friday, October 31
  • November 2025 – Monday, December 1
  • December 2025 – Wednesday, December 31

VA and Medicare Team to Stop Duplicate Payments

The Department of Veterans Affairs has now joined hands with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to stop a big issue that’s been going on for years paying twice for the same medical care. This was announced on July 22, and it could help recover about $106 million that was overpaid in the last 6 years.

Some veterans use both VA healthcare and Medicare. But sometimes, doctors and hospitals were billing both programs for the same services, and both VA and Medicare were paying. This led to a lot of wasted taxpayer money. It turns out this affected nearly 5.9 million veterans, and there was no system before to catch this.

VA Priority Group 8: Who Qualifies and What Benefits They Can Still Get

Now CMS and VA are starting to send out repayment notices to providers who got overpaid. Officials say this is not just about getting the money back. They also want to improve how things work and make sure this doesn’t happen again.

As part of fixing the problem, the two agencies made a new data matching agreement. This means they’ll now share claim info and compare records so that doctors can’t get paid twice for the same service. It’s all part of a bigger effort to make things fairer and cleaner in the VA system.VA Disability Payment Schedule 2025: When Will Veterans Be Paid in August?
