Why Was Altuve Removed From the Game?

He was therefore unable to participate in all 71 contests this season. Consequently, he has appeared in only 50 games this season. For the time being, the athlete will be evaluated daily until he has completed all required testing.

According to the team, Altuve suffered a left knee contusion and his X-rays were negative. According to manager Dusty Baker, Altuve was suffering from discomfort. He would be reevaluated before Wednesday’s series finale. The manager stated, “It was clear that it was a bad situation for him to leave the game.”

Despite his pain, Altuve engaged with fans by signing posters and even presenting his jersey to a juvenile fan who was in attendance to watch the game.

Fans and colleagues alike are hopeful that his injury is minor, as the Astros require his presence in the lineup. Ultimately, Altuve is accountable for the success of this team. He has hit 323/.423/.545 with nine home runs and 12 stolen bases in 49 games.

The team’s 68-52 record places them in second place in the American League West. The Texas Rangers are the champions of their division. They trail the Astros by only 3.5 games.
