National Middle Child Day: Wishes, Quotes, Greetings, and More!

One personality study also states that middle children tend to be artistic and creative.

National Middle Child Day: Every year on August 12, the middle child in the family is celebrated on National Middle Child Day. Of course, even in larger families, more than one middle child is celebrated!

Many believe that birth order plays a key role in children’s personalities. For example, middle child syndrome describes the firstborn as the leader and role player. At the same time, the title of the smallest baby family is awarded. Therefore, the role of the middle child remains undefined. Birth order can also influence the Big Five personality traits: extraversion, neuroticism, agreeableness, conscientiousness, and openness to experience. One personality study also states that middle children tend to be artistic and creative.

History

Elizabeth Walker created the National Day of the Middle Child in the 1980s. The first party took place on the second Saturday of August. However, when on the road, it is generally accepted to celebrate it on August 12. In a newspaper article sent by her grandson Litton Walker, III, Walker said she wanted to create a national day to honor those children who were born “into families” that she felt were “abandoned.” The name was later changed.

I wish there was someone who would listen to the middle child.

The middle child is forgotten.

I am independent and a peacemaker. I’m the middle child. The middle child belongs nowhere.
