JNVST Admission: NVS Class 6 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Registration date extended

Students seeking admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in class VI can apply online at navodaya.gov.in, the NVS's official website.

JNV NVS JNVST 2023: The Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) has extended the registration deadline for the JNVST (Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya selection test 2023), the entrance examination for admission to class VI for the academic year 2023-24. The deadline for submitting the online form has been moved from January 31 to February 8. Students seeking admission to Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas in class VI can apply online at navodaya.gov.in, the NVS’s official website. Students will be chosen based on their performance in the JNVST 2023 exam. The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST 2022) will take place on April 29, 2023.

Qualifications and Age Limit

To take this entrance exam, the candidate must have been born between 1 May 2011 and 30 April 2013. (both dates inclusive). Candidates in the fifth grade in the academic year 2022-23 from government / government aided or other recognised schools are eligible to apply. Students wishing to apply for admission to Navodaya Vidyalaya must be in the fifth grade at a school in the same district.

Exam pattern

The selection test will be of 2 hours. The exam will be taken from 11:30 am to 01:30 pm. There will be 3 sections consisting of objective type questions. There will be total 80 questions which will be of 100 marks.

Mental Ability Test—40 Questions—50 Marks—60 Minutes

Arithmetic Test—20 Questions—25 Marks—30 Minutes

Language Test—-20 Questions—25 Marks—30 Minutes

TOTAL —–80 QUESTIONS—100 MARKS—1 HOUR

JNVST Admission: Steps to apply

  • Visit the official site of Navodaya Vidyalaya at navodaya.gov.in.
  • Click on JNVST 2023 Class 6 link.
  • A new page will open where candidates need to click on the registration link.
  • Fill the application form and pay the application fee.
  • Click on submit.

75 percent seats in the district will be filled by students from rural areas.

SC, ST, OBC, Divyang reservation will be according to the rules of the government.
