Modified exam pattern

The examination pattern for the recruitment of teachers, vice-principals, and principals in Kendriya Vidyalayas has changed this time. Because computer-based examinations will be used for the first time for recruitment, KVS has launched a mock test facility to help candidates prepare.

The question paper for TGT and PGT teachers will be 180 marks instead of 150. For the first time, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan will include questions about leadership in the teacher recruitment examination. Last year, 150 one-point questions were asked in the TGT exam. There were ten questions in each of General English and General Hindi, forty in General Knowledge and Current Affairs, forty in Reasoning Ability, ten in Computer Literacy, and forty in Pedagogy. PGT had 10 questions from General English and Hindi, 10 questions from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, 10 questions from Reasoning Ability, 10 questions from Computer Literacy, 20 questions from Pedagogy, and 80 subject-based questions. There used to be a 60-60 point interview.

This time, the TGT-PGT format has been maintained. This time, there will be 10-10 General English and General Hindi questions, 10 General Knowledge and Current Affairs questions, 05 Reasoning questions, and 05 Computer Literacy questions. This time, in addition to expanding Pedagogy, Perspective on Education and Leadership has been included, and 40 questions will be asked based on this. Aside from that, to emphasise the subject’s importance, there will be 100 number questions. There will be 30 marks for teaching demonstration and 30 marks for interview out of a total of 60 marks.

Two papers worth 150-150 points each for the Principal and Vice Principal

Previously, there was a 150-point question paper for the Principal and Vice Principal positions. There will be two question papers of 150-150 marks this time. Previously, there were ten questions from General English and General Hindi, ten from General Knowledge and Current Affairs, ten from Reasoning, ten from Computer Literacy, 50 from Education, and 50 from Administration and Finance. This time, the first paper of 150 marks will include 15 questions from General English and General Hindi, as well as 120 questions from Perspective on Education and Leadership. In the second paper, there will be a total of 50 questions on General Awareness, Reasoning, and Computer Proficiency, as well as 100 questions on Administration and Finance.
