5-Door Mahindra Thar: Features To Be More Premium Than 3-Door Model

According to the most recent spy photos, the cabin will be more upscale than its three-door sister.

5-Door Mahindra Thar: For the local market, Mahindra & Mahindra is currently developing a variety of new models. While the facelifted XUV300 and the five-door Thar won’t be available until next year, the Bolero Neo Plus is anticipated to go on sale in the coming weeks. In late 2024, the Mahindra XUV.e8 will go on sale. The larger five-door Thar will include considerable improvements over the three-door predecessor.

According to the most recent spy photos, the cabin will be more upscale than its three-door sister. Both lifestyle off-road SUVs share a number of characteristics, but there also seem to be some significant variances. A new multifunctional flat-bottom steering wheel, for instance, is visible in spy photos and may be taken from the XUV700.

The inside could adopt a brown and black colour scheme, and the addition of cup holders, several storage compartments, and redesigned armrests would increase convenience. The seven-inch infotainment system featured in the three-door Thar might be replaced with a floating touchscreen system from the XUV700, which would support wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

5-Door Mahindra Thar Features

The three-door Thar’s HVAC control switches, seats and their finish, door pads, etc. might be reused. In addition, the larger Thar will ride on a ladder frame chassis that is probably shared with the Scorpio N. Compared to the three-door version, the larger Thar may feature a wider wheelbase and wheels that are pushed outward to create additional inside space.

Along with the increased inside capacity, anticipate an increase in the boot volume. The 2.2L four-cylinder mHawk diesel engine and the well-known 2.0L four-cylinder mStallion petrol engines will be carried over, therefore the performance figures will probably be identical to the three-door variant. They will all come standard with a six-speed manual gearbox.

There will be a six-speed torque converter automatic gearbox available that can drive all four wheels. In addition to being available in a wide range, the five-door Mahindra Thar will be positioned above the five-door Maruti Suzuki Jimny.
