Social Security November 2026 Payment Schedule: Check Dates for SSI, SSDI and Retirement Benefits

Social Security beneficiaries will receive November 2026 payments on different dates based on their birth dates and benefit types, with SSI payments arriving early on October 30.

Social Security November 2026 Payment Schedule: Social Security beneficiaries in the US can now check the dates for their November 2026 payments. The exact date depends on the type of benefit a person receives and, for most people, their date of birth.

The Social Security Administration (SSA) follows a regular payment schedule. But two dates are different this month. The November Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payment will arrive early, while some Social Security beneficiaries will also receive their money before their usual payment day because of Veterans Day.

November 2026 Social Security Payment Schedule

The November payments will arrive on five different dates. People should check which group they belong to before expecting their money. The payment dates are:

  • October 30: November SSI payment for eligible recipients.
  • November 3: Social Security beneficiaries who started receiving benefits before May 1997, along with those who receive both Social Security and SSI.
  • November 10: Social Security retirement, survivor and disability benefits for people born between the 1st and 10th of a month.
  • November 18: Payments for people born between the 11th and 20th.
  • November 25: Payments for people born between the 21st and the end of the month.

When Will You Get Your Social Security Check? October Payment Schedule

The usual payment date for the first birthday group falls on Wednesday, November 11. But that day is Veterans Day, a US federal holiday. Their payment will therefore arrive one day earlier, on Tuesday, November 10.

People in the other two birthday groups will receive their money on November 18 and November 25. These dates follow the SSA’s regular Wednesday payment system. The birthday used for this schedule is generally the date of birth of the person whose work record is used to claim the benefits.

Why will SSI Payments Arrive in October?

People who receive SSI will get their November payment on Friday, October 30. This is because November 1 falls on a Sunday. SSI payments are normally made on the first day of the month, but the SSA moves them to the previous business day when the usual date falls on a weekend or federal holiday.

The early payment isn’t extra money. It’s the regular benefit for November, sent before the month begins. Recipients shouldn’t expect another SSI payment later in November.

SSI is a separate benefit programme for eligible people with limited income and resources who are aged 65 or older, blind or disabled. Its payment schedule is different from the birthday-based system used for most Social Security retirement, survivor and disability benefits.

What to Do If Your Payment is Late

Beneficiaries should first check their bank account and contact their bank if the deposit doesn’t appear on the expected date. Bank processing may affect when the money becomes visible. The SSA’s calendar advises people to allow three additional mailing days before contacting the agency if a payment hasn’t arrived.

Checking the correct date can help people plan their monthly expenses, including rent, food, utility bills and other basic needs. It can also prevent confusion when a payment arrives in October but is meant to cover November.
