The birth of Australian musical star Kylie Minogue occurred in 1968. Her mother, Carol, used to perform ballet, and her father, Ronald, is a family-owned auto dealership’s accountant. Irish and Welsh descent, Minogue is the oldest of three siblings.

Kylie Minogue’s family moved repeatedly while she was growing up in Melbourne; after settling in Surrey Hills, she attended Camberwell High School. Minogue first appeared on television in a small role in an episode of “The Sullivans” in 1979, and then again in a similar capacity in an episode of “Skyways” in 1980.

Minogue starred in the first season of “The Henderson Kids” in 1985, but she was written off the programme after the second season.
