She did so in order to present “AM Chicago” She revolutionised the AM Chicago programme. The show moved from having low ratings to being one of the best in Chicago within a few months. It was evident to many media professionals that Winfrey is unique. In 1986, she renegotiated the AM Chicago’s rights. In consequence, “The Oprah Winfrey Show” replaced “AM Chicago.” The transaction made her a fortune. She has interviewed numerous well-known celebrities. Her 1993 interview with Michael Jackson is one of the most-viewed interviews ever.

With her programme, she achieved cultural icon status. Twenty-five seasons of “The Oprah Winfrey Show” aired from 1986 to 2011. The show earned numerous honours, including 18 Daytime Emmys.
