Psy is a South Korean singer, songwriter, rapper, and record producer. He was born Park Jae-sang in Seoul on December 31, 1977. Among other things, his fourth album, “Ssajib” (2006), took home accolades at the 2006 SBS Music accolades. Psy joined YG Entertainment in 2010 as he started having financial issues and was unable to continue funding his music. The following year, he released his fifth album, “PsyFive.” The hit song “Gangnam Style” was featured on the singer’s sixth album, “Psy 6 (Six Rules), Part 1,” which was published in 2012. “Gangnam Style” peaked at number one on the iTunes Music Video Charts by August of that year.
