Simon Le Bon Biography: Simon Le Bon is a prominent figure within the entertainment industry in England. His tenure with the rock band Duran Duran has garnered him recognition and international acclaim. Simon John Charles Le Bon was born in Hertfordshire, England, on October 27, 1958. He is the eldest of three siblings, including Jonathan and David, his siblings. Le Bon, who began his artistic career at a tender age, received acting training and joined the local church choir. He graduated from college with a degree in drama and a foundational course in art. During his academic career, Le Bon made several appearances in television commercials and stage productions.

In 1980, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes, both members of Duran Duran, were among those who introduced him. He assumed the vocalist position with the band the same year he passed the audition. They began their career by performing in and around Nottingham, London, and Birmingham, and by year’s end, they had signed a record contract with E.M.I. Records. Le Bon made his Duran Duran début in 1981 with the release of the band’s self-titled debut album. This resulted in an instantaneous breakthrough for the group, as well as notoriety for his membership in the New Romantic movement, a clandestine subculture in the United Kingdom. Following this accomplishment, they embarked on their inaugural tour that same year. In the years that followed, Duran Duran issued “Arena” in 1984, “Seven and the Ragged Tiger” in 1983, and “Rio” in 1982, their respective second albums. In 1985, Le Bon established the Duran Duran subgroup Arcadia, which released its sole studio album, “So Red The Rose.” The single ‘Election Day’ peaked in the top ten on the U.K. and U.S. charts. The agency S.Y.N. Entertainment and its record label, S.Y.N. Records, were both established by him in Tokyo, Japan, in 1998. Later, the agency would assist in the production of Duran Duran’s albums. Le Bon is currently co-host of the Duran Duran radio program “WHOOOSH!” on SiriusXM and Spotify, which features Katy Krassner.

Since 1985, Le Bon has been wed to the English model Yasmin Parvaneh. Since 2018, the couple has been blessed with three daughters and, in due course, grandchildren. Likewise, his spouse contributed to the establishment of S.Y.N. Entertainment. Le Bon is well-known for his participation in yacht racing, having previously owned the Maxi Yacht Drum. Despite being involved in an accident in 1985, he resumed racing shortly thereafter.
