In August of 2007, Dean released his solo début studio album, “One Man Band Man.” In the same year, he signed Eve to Full Surface Records. Dean had produced numerous hit recordings by 2009, including ‘Nasty Girl’ by Ludacris, ‘I Can Transform Ya’ by Chris Brown, ‘On to the Next One’ by Jay-Z, and many others. In 2011, he was awarded the Grammy for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group for ‘On to the Next One.’

Dean has established himself as an accomplished producer and rapper. In 2014, he was inducted into the Bronx Walk of Fame, and in 2020, he and Timbaland launched the Verzuz Instagram webcast series.
