HP TET 2020: HPBOSE postpones Himachal Pradesh TET until further notice

The board has postponed Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) June 2020 exam due to COVID-19 pandemic.

HP TET 2020 Postponed upate: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) has postponed the HP TET 2020 postponed until further notice.

Previously, the TGT (Non Medical) and Language Teacher exam was scheduled to be held on 2nd August 2020 (Sunday), TGT (Arts) & TGT (Medical) exam was set to be held on 8th August and Punjabi and Urdu exam was to be held on 9th August.

The board has postponed Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HPTET) June 2020 exam due to COVID-19 pandemic.

Candidates, who are appearing for the exam, enquiring about the HPTET exam date or any other information regarding the conduct of HP TET 2020 exam should call number – 01892 – 242192.

Candidates should note that HPBOSE will announce the new exam date of HP TET for TGT (Non Medical/Art/Medical), Language Teacher, JBT and Shastri exams soon on its official website hpbose.org.

How many candidates have registered for HP TET 2020?

A total of 48,713 candidates had registered to appear for the HP TET. The exam will be held in both English and Hindi. The question paper for Shastri will be partly in Sanskrit and partly in Hindi, Punjabi, and Urdu language exams will be in the respective language.

HP TET 2020: Question paper pattern

Candidates, appearing for the HP TET, should keep in mind that the paper consists of 150 multiple-choice questions for one mark each. The duration of the exam is 2:30 hours. The minimum qualification criteria for the candidate is 60 marks. However, there is no negative marking scheme for this exam and will be held in offline mode. Students are instructed to use a blue or black pen.

Successful candidates will be eligible to work as a teacher in state-run schools.
