Most Expensive Mobile Phones in the World: From Diamond-Encrusted to Solid Gold

The Diamond Crypto Smartphone was once believed to be the world's most expensive smartphone. The phone was made by JSC Ancort and designed by Aloisson.

Most Expensive Mobile Phones in the World: The year is 2023, and we have evolved into a society that is heavily reliant on technology, with smartphones becoming commonplace across the globe. While it may appear that the majority of phones are interchangeable with the exception of a few operational details, there are a few that are on an entirely different level. For the most discerning tech enthusiasts, these are some of the most expensive smartphones in the world, combining design and functionality in genuinely original ways.

Most Expensive Mobile Phones in the World

1. Vertu Signature Cobra

Price – $310,000

Originally an outgrowth of Nokia, Vertu is a prestigious luxury phone brand, and the Signature Cobra may be their crowning achievement. The phone, created by the French jeweller Boucheron, has been assembled by hand for a more artisanal touch and is limited to just eight examples worldwide. The handset is encircled by a serpent made of solid gold, white diamonds, emeralds, and rubies, which is the most distinguishing feature.

2. Golden Revolution

Price – $488,150

Upon first glance, it is evident that Goldvish, a Swedish brand, created something quite unique with this item. The phone features materials such as white gold, rose gold, leather, diamonds, and sapphire glass, as well as a circular design that is more aesthetically pleasing than the squared-off designs of most phones. It also features a detachable analogue timepiece for added distinction. There are only 32 pieces in existence, and they will undoubtedly become even rarer over time.

3. The Las Vegas Gresso Jackpot

Price- $1 million

This phone’s construction of gold and black diamonds (totalling 45,5 carats) makes it a true windfall. The gorgeous back panel of the phone is crafted from a 200-year-old African tree, and its 17 laser-engraved sapphire keys have been hand-polished. Only three phones were ever manufactured, and each is engraved with a unique number on the wood panelling, so you know you own something genuinely unique.

4. Millionaire Goldvish Le

Price – $1,300,000,000

This extraordinary dagger-shaped phone was once the most expensive phone in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The structure is composed of 18-karat white gold and 120-carat diamonds. Le Million, like the Jackpot, is limited to three parts.

5. Cryptocurrency Smartphone

Price – $1,3 million

The Diamond Crypto Smartphone was once believed to be the world’s most expensive smartphone. The phone was made by JSC Ancort and designed by Aloisson. The majority of the mobile phone is composed of solid platinum, whereas its logo and home button are composed of rose gold. In addition, the phone is encrusted with fifty diamonds, including ten uncommon blue diamonds. Macassar Ebony is used for the small quantity of wood that is featured on the sides of the phone. In addition to the phone’s ultra-luxurious aesthetics, its software has been designed with special encryption technology to protect the owner’s sensitive data.

6. King’s Button for iPhone 3G

Price – $2.5 million

The King’s Button, another design by Aloisson and possibly his most well-known to date, is composed of 18-karat yellow, white, and rose gold. The white gold is in the form of a band that runs along the phone’s edges and is adorned with 138 diamonds. The ‘King’s Button’, which consists of a 6.6-carat diamond and substitutes the home button, is what makes this phone truly remarkable.

7. Goldstriker iPhone 3GS Supreme

Price – $3.2 MILLION

The Goldstriker elevates the similarities between the Kings Button and the Goldstriker to an entirely new level. Stuart Hughes’ design includes, for instance, 22-karat gold, 136 diamonds set around the phone’s perimeter, and 53 additional diamonds used to create the Apple logo. Once again, a diamond is used as the home button, but this time it is 7.1 carats in weight. And as if that were not enough, the phone is packaged in a granite case with leather and Kashmiri gold embellishments.

8. iPhone 4 Diamond Rose Edition

Price: $8 million

This is yet another creation by Stuart Hughes, of which there are only two in the world, each of which is a one-of-a-kind work. The phone is made of rose gold and features 500 diamonds weighing 100 carats in addition to 53 diamonds on the Apple logo. This phone, like the previous two entries, features a diamond in lieu of the home button but ups the ante with a 7.4-carat pink diamond. Like the Goldstriker, it arrives in a presentation box made of granite. That is why it is considered the most expensive mobile phones in the world.

9. Apple iPhone 4S Gold

Price – $9.4 Million

Stuart Hughes has possibly cornered the market for luxury iPhones, as this is his third entry on the list of the priciest phones and is only one spot away from the top slot. This extraordinary phone is handcrafted and customised, with 500 diamonds totaling 100 carats encircling the perimeter. Both the phone’s rear panel and Apple’s logo are constructed of 24-karat solid gold. The logo also features 53 diamonds, and going one step further than his previous two designs, the home button on this logo is a magnificent 8.6-carat diamond. As a spare home button, the phone includes a 7.6-carat diamond! What truly sets this phone apart is its packaging, which is made of platinum and adorned with polished sections of Tyrannosaurus Rex bone and an abundance of rare gemstones, including opals, charoite, and pietersite.

10. Falcon Supernova iPhone 6 Pink Diamond

Price – $48.5 million

This custom iPhone was first manufactured in 2004, and despite the numerous smartphones that followed, it remains the most expensive smartphone in the world. In comparison to its competitors, the design is relatively straightforward, with a 24-karat gold exterior that is also available in rose gold and platinum. A large pink diamond embedded in the rear panel serves as the focal point of the phone.
