Delhi Schools Winter Vacations: After Haryana schools, Delhi school holiday may extend

On Friday, the temperature in Delhi-NCR rose above normal, providing relief from the cold. Although this is only a temporary solution.

Winter Vacations in Delhi Schools: Like Haryana, winter vacations in Delhi schools can be extended. Winter vacations were announced for Delhi government schools from January 1 to January 15. However, a cold wave is possible in Delhi and some surrounding areas beginning on January 15. On Friday, the temperature in Delhi-NCR rose above normal, providing relief from the cold. Although this is only a temporary solution.

Due to the onset of winter, the Haryana Directorate of Education has extended the winter vacation until January 21 in all government and private schools. All schools will now open on January 23, 2023. Classes for students in grades 10 and 12 will be organised in preparation for the board exams. The Haryana Directorate of Education issued such orders on Friday evening.
The government declared a week of winter vacation until January 15, which has now been extended by one week. The Directorate of Education, Haryana, has informed parents that winter vacations will continue in all government and non-government schools in Haryana until January 21, 2023.

On Friday, snow fell in Kashmir and Himachal. Its impact is now being felt in the plains. The IMD predicts a cloudy sky over Delhi-NCR on Saturday, with moderate fog expected in the morning. Temperatures can fall as low as eight degrees Celsius. On Friday, the weather in Srinagar became so bad that flight operations had to be halted and all flights were cancelled. Shimla, Kangra, Kullu, Chamba, and isolated parts of Himachal Pradesh’s Lahaul and Spiti districts, on the other hand, received light snowfall.

On Friday, most of Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh received new snowfall and rain. There is a chance that the cold will worsen. In both states, the national highway was closed.
