IIT Madras launching an e-Mobility for Working Professionals

IIT Madras 2022: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras is launching an industry oriented online certificate program on e-mobility for working professionals. The unique feature of the course is that the content is delivered by industry professionals in four of the 9 modules of the programme.

The course, being offered through the Center for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), IIT Madras, covers the e-mobility eco-system as well as vehicle development, power electronics, battery engineering, thermal management, power trains, and EMI among other areas. / EMC will provide an overview of the base things in technical areas.

Highlighting the need for such certificate courses, Professor V Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras said, “We announced our Dual Degree in EV Engineering at the end of last year. It is absolutely a must-have for our BTech students. program.”

Further, Professor Kamkoti said, “We are therefore launching this program to cater to the needs of various working professionals across industries and departments. IIT Madras will continue to rapidly grow its presence in the e-mobility space and be the key will target using remote delivery. Advance technology is required for working professionals.”

Elaborating on the program, Professor Devendra Jalihal, Chairman, Center for Outreach and Digital Education (CODE), IIT Madras said, “It was essentially developed to meet the needs of those engineers in companies that who want to get a well- structured overview and introduction to various aspects of e-mobility – people in functions like manufacturing, sourcing, quality, aftermarket, etc. as well as engineers in product development who can pursue careers in e-mobility Want to get into mobility.

The program includes 120 hours of video classes and another 40 hours of online contact classes with faculty. Candidates are required to complete regular assignments and a final assessment, upon which they will receive a certificate. The first group will start in early October and applications will be on “first-come-first-served basis.”
