Maharashtra to fill vacant post at state-run central hospital: The state government has made the decision to hire new medical professionals and other staff members for the Central Hospital, which is managed by the state government and is located in the Ulhasnagar neighbourhood of the Thane district.

The procedure to fill open positions has been initiated by the state. Patients seeking medical attention at the Central Hospital come not only from the city of Ulhasnagar, but also from other communities such as Ambernath, Badlapur, and Murbad.

At the Central Hospital, there is a sanctioned post for a total of 16 physicians, but only 6 of those physicians are now working there. Additionally, there is a lack of more than 120 remaining staff members, including 48 nuns and 66 class 4 employees.
According to the authorities at the hospital, the 202-bed Central facility treats more than 300 patients on a daily basis.

Because there were not enough physicians and personnel, the patients’ relatives frequently claimed that the doctors here transferred their loved ones to other hospitals in the city of Mumbai.

Many public figures, including the local BJP MLA Kumar Ailani, have demanded in writing that the state government fill the empty posts due to the lack of facilities for the patients. These demands have been made on multiple occasions.

Regarding the same matter, Ailani had made up her mind to bring up the topic once more in the new session of the state assembly that began on Monday. On the other hand, in response to Ailani’s demand, Health Minister Dr. Tanaji Sawant provided written assurance on Monday that the Ministry of Health has begun the process of recruitment of doctors and other staff, and that the process of identifying the business that will be responsible for the examination of the post is currently under way.

As a result, the open positions will be filled within the next few months at the earliest.
