Orientation programme held for new entrants at JNMCH

Prof. Seema Hakim, Coordinator, Medical Education Unit (MEU), emphasised the necessity of cooperative efforts in providing high-quality healthcare and preventing medical neglect.

Orientation programme: The newly admitted MD, MS, and MDS students from Aligarh Muslim University’s J.N. Medical College and Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College gathered for an interactive orientation programme to learn about the history, customs, extracurricular activities, and teacher-taught relationships at their respective colleges and universities.

The need of professionalism and decorum in medical practise was emphasised by Prof. Veena Maheshwari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. She emphasised the need of adhering to a professional dress code, being punctual in all facets of their work, and developing close bonds with coworkers, teachers, and patients. She also emphasised the need for crucial skill development and a lifelong learning journey in the medical industry.

Student Induction and Orientation Program held at Kishanganj Centre of AMU

Prof. Haris M. Khan, Principal and Chief Medical Superintendent at JNMCH, gave insightful explanations of the hospital’s facilities. With 1300 beds, JNMC serves more than a million patients annually in the outpatient department and admits about 72,000 patients, providing enough of opportunity for residents to obtain real-world experience and broaden their expertise, according to him.

The ZADC Principal, Prof. R.K. Tewari, congratulated the students on their admission to such a prestigious university and challenged them to put in extra effort to flourish in their chosen fields.

She stressed on the value of cooperation, medical ethics, and communication skills. She emphasised the significance of having open lines of dialogue with patients and their families.
