Dr. Salma Shaheen provided advice to ambitious female entrepreneurs and reinvented business for modern women.

Women’s Entrepreneurial Empowerment: In coordination with the Training and Placement Office (TPO), the University Hobbies Workshop Club (UHWC) and University Film Club (UFC) of Aligarh Muslim University organised an event at Kennedy Auditorium that was in line with G20 initiatives. ‘Women’s Entrepreneurial Empowerment’ was the topic of an interesting panel discussion and documentary screening on September 27.

Professors from AMU, including Prof. Ayesha Farooq, Prof. Sheeba Hamid, Prof. Mohd Shamim, and Dr. Salma Shaheen, participated in the panel discussion. Sheeza Shoeb and Mahvish Fatima, two student moderators, skillfully guided the discussion.

AMU staff urged to take part in Swachhta Abhiyan on October 1

The panellists offered insightful commentary on many facets of women’s entrepreneurship development. The difficulties women experience in obtaining money and funding for their firms, as well as the barriers to recognition as business owners, were discussed by Prof. Ayesha Farooq. Prof. Sheeba Hamid discussed ways for women to build effective professional networks and highlighted industries where women-led companies prosper.

Prof. Mohd Shamim provided information on the financial resources and assistance programmes accessible to women business owners. Dr. Salma Shaheen provided advice to ambitious female entrepreneurs and reinvented business for modern women.

Ritu Kaushik, a homemaker who started her own company called “Ritupal Collection,” is portrayed in the moving short film “Rita Goes Online,” which was shown as part of the event.

Mr. Saad Hameed, TPO (General), also attended the event. The efforts of the secretaries of the UHWC and UFC, Areeb Ahmad and Ahmad Mudassir, and their teams, were credited with the event’s success.
