Telangana government launches French language program in welfare schools

French language program: The French language has been introduced into schools operated by the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TSWREIS) and the Telanagana Tribal Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society (TTWREIS) in collaboration with the French Institute in India (IFI).

TSWREI Society shared the news on X (previously Twitter) as follows: “Secretary, TSWREIS signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Institut Francais en Inde (IFI-The French Institute in India) to introduce French Language in the schools, marking a significant step towards enhancing educational opportunities and creating new opportunities for students in an increasingly interconnected world.”

In addition, this collaboration with government institutions is a testament to the effectiveness of promoting language learning and cultural awareness among students.

The French Institute of India announced that IFI representatives will train the teacher. “Telangana will shortly see a new generation of government school students with enhanced skills. IFI announced on X that by learning from language teachers trained by @ifiofficiel in innovative teaching techniques, students will be able to establish brighter futures for themselves.

France unveiled its initiative to strengthen connections with India last month by announcing a plan to welcome 30,000 Indian students by 2023. To achieve this objective, the French government will implement ‘Institute Classes’ in universities and colleges.

France will grant Indian students with a master’s degree or higher qualification a five-year Schengen visa if they have completed at least one semester of study in France.
