Tribal varsity will change lives of Girijans: CM Jagan

Together with Chief Minister Jagan, Union Minister of Education Dharmedndra Pradhan inaugurated the construction of the Central Tribal University.

Tribal varsity will change lives of Girijans: YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, stated that the Central Tribal University would transform the lives of Adivasis, allowing them to compete with the world in the near future.

He stated that during the YSRCP government’s four-year reign, the medical health and education sectors were given high priority.

CM Jagan and Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan placed the cornerstone for the permanent campus of the Central Tribal University between Chinnamedapalli-Marrivalasa in the district’s Mentada-Dattirajeru mandals.

The Prime Minister announced during a public meeting in the village of Maradam that his administration is establishing a tribal university in the tribal region of Saluru. He stated that the university would be established to improve the livelihoods of the indigenous people. Using Peedika Rajanna Dora of Saluru as an example, CM Jagan asserted that the YSRCP had even provided tribals with political positions. He stated that 100% of all positions in 497 secretariats in tribal areas were reserved for local tribal members.

Together with Chief Minister Jagan, Union Minister of Education Dharmedndra Pradhan inaugurated the construction of the Central Tribal University.

CM Jagan stated that the tribal area has undergone significant development over the past four years, with the construction of two medical colleges at Paderu and Parvathipuram with an estimated cost of Rs. 1000 crore, a tribal engineering college at Kurupam on 105 acres and with an estimated cost.

In addition, he stated that the location of the tribal university is close to the Visakhapatnam-Rayagada National Highway as well as the Vizianagaram, Gajapatinagaram, and Bobbili Railway stations on the Visakha-Howrah railway line. The prime minister stated that his administration is adopting unprecedented educational measures.

In the past fifty months, according to the Chief Minister, his government has made steps for the welfare of the tribes. “Our government has spent Rs. 16,805 billion on the welfare of tribal people. As per the promise to provide two acres of land to each eligible scheduled tribal family, approximately 3.23 million acres of land with all rights have been distributed to 1.54 million tribal families. Since July 2019, 410 billion rupees have been spent to provide free electricity to 4,588,000 households, as he explained. To combat renal disease, the CM added that his government is constructing a kidney super specialty hospital and research centre in Uddanam.

The Union Minister extolled the AP’s educational model and praised the state’s chief executive, Jagan. He stated that Prime Minister Modi admired the Andhra paradigm of mother-tongue instruction. He said that it was an excellent example. “The AP government created unique, bilingual books in which one page is written in English and the other page is written in Telugu,” he praised.

The programmes were attended by state ministers, Vizianagaram and Parvathipuram district legislators, and government officials.
