University of St Andrews students: According to the results of the National Student Survey 2023, released this week (Thursday), 10 August 2023), students at the University of St Andrews are more optimistic about their education than students at any other mainstream British university.

The oldest university in Scotland received the highest average positivity score among the thousands of undergraduates who responded to the National Student Survey (NSS)’s 26 questions.

The NSS queries examine students’ perspectives on teaching quality, assessment and feedback, mental health support, and facilities.

Students at the University of St. Andrews had an average positivity score of 87.2%, surpassing those at the University of West London (85.9%) and the University of Surrey (85.9%).

Four Scottish universities were ranked among the top ten in the United Kingdom for positivism, indicating that they performed exceptionally well in the survey.
