Even though Shin was depicted joining a gang of thieves, the greater power that Baylan sensed and sought on the planet has not yet been made explicit.

Baylan’s final appearance suggests that the power is related to the Mortis Gods, ancient deities also known as the Ones. The Father statue represented the balance of the Force, while the Son and Daughter statues represented the dark side and the light side of the Force, respectively.

As a result of Stevenson’s untimely death weeks prior to Ahsoka’s debut, Baylan’s narrative may have to be developed differently than originally intended.
