On the basis of CUET results, participating universities will compile merit lists that rank applicants according to their overall standing.

CUET 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will issue official announcements regarding the Common University Entrance Test 2024, or CUET 2024. It is an entrance exam to shortlist candidates for admission to a variety of UG programmes at all Central Universities for the academic session 2024-25.

The examination will be administered online, and the application form must be submitted online. There is no age requirement to take this exam. CUET 2024 Qualification Standards

Before submitting the application, it is the responsibility of candidates to ensure they satisfy all eligibility requirements for CUET. Please review the following points to gain an understanding of the eligibility requirements.

Participating universities in the CUET exam are allowed to establish their own eligibility requirements.

The weighting of the CUET in the admissions process is also a matter of university choice.

To apply for CUET, there is no minimum or utmost age requirement.

Participating in the examination or achieving a sufficient grade does not guarantee admission. To gain admission, you must meet the remaining eligibility requirements established by the universities.

CUET Application Form for 2024

The application procedure for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is outlined below.

  • Initially, you must access the official CUET website at https://cuet.samarth.ac.in/.
  • On the official website, the registration option must be selected.
  • You must provide some fundamental information during registration, such as your name, date of birth, email address, phone number, etc.
  • After registering, you will be able to log in using your email address and password.
  • After logging in, the primary application form will be displayed. Provide your comprehensive educational, personal, and contact information here.
  • You must upload the scanned images of the following details along with the information.
  • A recent photograph of the candidate in passport size, in JPG or JPEG format, between 10 and 200 KB in size.
  • Signature of the candidate in JPG or JPEG format, between 4 and 30 KB in size.
  • Certificate of Category – 50 KB to 300 KB in PDF format.
  • Certificate for Persons with Disabilities (if applicable) – 50 KB to 300 KB in PDF format.
  • The next stage is to pay the application fee according to your category.
  • Take a printout of the completed application form and store it for future reference.

Admission Card

The CUET examination admit card will be made available online via the NTA’s official website.

To obtain the admit card, candidates must enter their information, including their registration number, etc.

The admit card includes essential details such as the candidate’s name, photo, signature, registration number, examination centre information, and instructions to be followed during the examination.

In addition to the admit card, candidates must bring one of the original documents listed below: School Identity Card/ PAN card/ Driving Licence/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhaar Card (With photograph)/ E-Aadhaar with photograph/ Ration Card with photograph/ Class 12 Board Admit Card with photograph/ Bank Passbook with Photograph.

No candidate will be permitted into the examination room without a valid admit card.

CUET 2024 Exam Format

The CUET 2024 examination format is provided below.

Exam administration is online (computer-based test).

Multiple-alternative queries of the objective type

Assamese, Bengali, English, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Punjabi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu are the languages of the questions.

Added 5 points for every correct answer

Negative Marking – An incorrect response will result in a loss of 1 point.

Course syllabus

The CUET’s subject-by-subject curriculum is described below.

Language – Reading Comprehension (based on factual, literary, and narrative passages) as well as Literary Aptitude and Vocabulary.

Domain Subject – Determined by the subjects you choose.

General Knowledge, Current Affairs, General Mental Ability, Numerical Ability, Quantitative Reasoning (Simple application of basic mathematical concepts arithmetic/ algebra geometry/ mensuration/ statistics), Logical and Analytical Reasoning.

The application fee depends on the number of subjects chosen by the candidates.

Answer sheet

  • On its website, the NTA will post the provisional answer key for the exam questions.
  • NTA will also provide candidates with the opportunity to contest the Provisional Answer Keys for a non-refundable fee of 200/- per question.
  • The subject-matter experts will evaluate all received challenges, and then a final answer key will be published.
  • The outcome will be determined using the final answer key.

The end result

  • After publishing the final answer key, the NTA will publish the results on its official website.
  • Each candidate who takes the CUET will receive a score based on their performance on the examination.
  • The result will also include an overall classification of all candidates according to their CUET scores.
  • On the basis of CUET results, participating universities will compile merit lists that rank applicants according to their overall standing.
