NEET 2020: SC allows NTA to conduct re exam for students who missed

The apex court also mentioned that NEET 2020 Result will be declared by the NTA on October 16.

NEET 2020 re-exam: Giving respite to the students, the Supreme Court on Monday allowed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for candidates who failed to appear for the examination on Sept 13 during to COVID-19. The re-exam will be held on October 14.

The apex court also mentioned that NEET 2020 Result will be declared by the NTA on October 16.

While several states had called for NEET and JEE (for admission to IITs)  to be deferred, the SC twice rejected petitions to defer the exams (once by students and the second time by opposition-ruled states).

The exam was originally scheduled for May 3. However, the entrance exam was pushed to July 26, and then to September 13. A total of 15.97 lakh candidates had registered for the NEET 2020.

NEET 2020 Re exam: Important COVID-19 Guidelines

Candidates must report at the exam at the scheduled time mentioned on the admit card.

While body temperature of all the candidates will be recorded at the time of entry in the exam hall, the temperature of candidate must be below 99.4 F.

Only those Candidates with normal body temperature will be sent to verification table.  After verification process, seat allotment will be done for all the candidates.

Candidates should carry their admit card at the exam centre. They must also ID proof along with the exam hall ticket.

Students need to follow these simple steps to check the result online as follows:

Step 1: Visit the official website at nta.ac.in, ntaneet.nic.in.

Step 2: Go to the result notification.

Step 3: Enter the required information.

Step 4: Download NTA NEET Result 2020.
