Baha’s pay their respects on this sacred day by praying and reading from the Bahá Writings. Additionally, it is one of nine days per year when labour should be suspended. Baha’s turn towards the Baha’u’llah Shrine when reciting their required supplication as an act of adoration. The shrine is located in Bahji, which is located outside of Akka in modern-day Israel.
