Pulaski’s father was a military commander, so he excelled in the same field as his father. Casimir fought with the Polish Army against the Russians as a military commander until he was accused of plotting to assassinate the king and exiled from his country. Before he met Benjamin Franklin, who led him into the American army, he sought refuge in countries across the globe. Pulaski continued to fight for the Americans until his death in 1779 due to wounds sustained during the Siege of Savannah.
