According to Smithsonian research, Jinichi Kawakami, an engineer, may be the last living ninja and laments about instructing kids not to murder or poison.
International Ninja Day 2023: Ninja Burger founded International Ninja Day on December 5 in 2003 to celebrate their burgers’ Ninja “speed” delivery. Ninjas are wonderful otherwise. We adore them and secretly want to be one. Wear a ninja mask to work to annoy your coworkers with ninja skills and star-throwing! A day off? Wear ninja gear at the mall or go wild.
Due to the premiere of the Tom Cruise film “The Last Samurai,” which featured a ninja-vs-samurai conflict, December 5 was chosen for the first International Ninja Day. Since then, the celebration has grown and gained press, capitalizing on Americans’ love of the black-clad assassins from the original issues of “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” to swordplay-focused games like “Dungeons and Dragons” and a slew of Bruce Lee and Chuck Norris films from the 60s and 70s.
The satirical website’s founders’ motives are secondary to their goal: No one will stare at you if you say “Haiii-yah!” when you grab a donut from the meeting room box on December 5. Have mock karate battles, hurl paper clips like shuriken, and drink sake after work. Your key to mystical power on Day of the Ninja!
