Kashmir Solidarity Day 2024: Date, History and Importance

The History of Kashmir Solidarity Day

The Kashmir Valley is referred to as “heaven on earth.” One of the most well-liked tourist destinations in Pakistan is Kashmir; it is a breathtaking location that you should see at least once in your lifetime. Regretfully, since 1947, there have been numerous territorial conflicts inside it.

Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day to show support for the Kashmiri people. In their fight for a distinct identity on the global map, many freedom fighters have lost loved ones, and Pakistan backs Kashmir’s fundamental right to self-determination.

Nawaz Sharif, the head of Pakistan’s opposition, instituted Solidarity Day. In retaliation for the Indian army’s occupation of sections of Kashmir, Sharif called for a nationwide strike throughout Pakistan. He urged everyone to pray for Kashmir’s independence.

Pakistan has brought up the Kashmir dispute on a worldwide scale, but world leaders and the UN have not been able to resolve the matter. Nonetheless, by commemorating Kashmir Solidarity Day in February each year, the people of Pakistan continue to stand with the people of it in their struggle towards their objective.
