However, the Congress believed that the name sounded like “desert,” so it was renamed after the Ute tribe.

Currently, Utah’s economy relies significantly on tourism, due to the state’s proximity to mountains with excellent skiing opportunities, agriculture, mining, and manufacturing. The state of Utah has evolved into a dynamic and diverse destination for tourists from all over the globe.
