A lot of things happen all over the country on this big national holiday. Jinnah became governor-general of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. He put together a government and organized a country that was in chaos because of fighting between different groups. He died in his home in Karachi a year after being named governor-general of Pakistan. Because of what he did for the country, he is remembered as one of the best leaders of Pakistan.

Quaid-E-Azam Day’s History

In Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah is known as the father of the country and the first governor-general. People called him “Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah,” and he had a lot of work to do.

He was in charge of setting up a government and taking care of thousands of Indian refugees. Muhammad Ali Jinnah became the leader of a new, unstable country. He was also sick with tuberculosis at the time. Before he died on September 11, 1948, just a year after becoming governor-general, he worked hard to make sure that Pakistan had some kind of government.

Before he was governor-general, Muhammad Ali Jinnah had a law firm where he worked as a skilled barrister. He was an important person in the subcontinent’s fight for freedom from British colonial rule and an active member of the Indian National Congress.

Jinnah decided in 1940 that Muslims needed their state so that they wouldn’t be left out of India’s new government as a vulnerable group. He worked for a long time and hard to make Pakistan a reality. His victory is a major reason for celebration in the country.

His birthday, December 25, was made Quaid-e-Azam Day because he was such a well-liked leader. In Pakistan, people celebrate this day in different ways. On this public holiday, the national flag is flown at official and non-official sites, and there are also formal events.
