NSP Scholarship Biometric Authentication: In order to disburse the scholarship under scholarship schemes to the Ministry of Minority Affairs, the Government has decided to re-validate the applications and verification of SNO/DNO/INO/HoI/applicants based on the findings of the physical verification of Institutes/beneficiaries for academic year 2022-23 conducted by the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER), wherein various discrepancies in the authenticity of institutes/beneficiaries were noted.
In the interest of expeditious disbursement of Scholarship funds, applicants are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar number is linked to their bank account, as Scholarship payments will be made exclusively through the Aadhaar-based Payment System.
To facilitate Aadhaar-based authentication, all parties involved (SNO, DNO, HoI, INO, and applicants) will update their Aadhaar on the NSP portal before August 25, 2023, in accordance with the posted guidelines and instructions. If the applicant is under 18 years old, his or her parents or legal guardian’s Aadhaar information must be updated.
