The background of Chiropractic Founders Day

Chiropractors are the practitioners of chiropractic care. By discussing the issue with the affected individual or by examining X-rays, they are able to accurately diagnose the condition. Chiropractors can also reveal how a shift in the vertebrae affects other aspects of a patient’s health. Once the problematic area of the spine has been identified, chiropractors physically manipulate the spine to return it to its proper position. This is accomplished by applying ice, heat, or controlled pressure to specific areas of the spine. Frequently, individuals are advised to perform exercises in order to realign their spines to their proper position. Back and neck issues caused by accidents, poor posture, or the amount of time we spend sitting in uncomfortable seats are among the most common reasons why people visit a chiropractor. Age exacerbates the problem for many people.

Chiropractic care existed long before the majority of contemporary physicians acknowledged it. The practise of chiropractic care can be traced back to ancient Egypt, China, and Greece in 1500 B.C., according to historical evidence. Hippocrates, the ancient Greek physician, was known to have practised chiropractic. Once he wrote, “Knowledge of the spine is necessary for numerous diseases.” In contrast, the first chiropractic students did not begin their studies until 1897. Dr. Minora Paxton became the first licenced chiropractor in the United States in 1904.
