Darren Kent Obituary: Beloved ‘Game Of Thrones’ Actor Passes Away At 39

Darren Kent Obituary: British actor Darren Kent, who appeared in the hit TV series “Game of Thrones” and the serial opera “EastEnders,” died at the age of 39.

At the age of 39, British actor Darren Kent, who appeared in “Game of Thrones” and “EastEnders,” passed away.

In a statement to USA TODAY on Tuesday, Kent’s talent agency said that he “passed away last Friday, 11 Aug 2023, surrounded by family and close friends.”

Darren Kent, a well-known British actor who appeared in “Game of Thrones” and “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves,” has passed away at the age of 39.

He had a unique skin condition, osteoporosis, and arthritis while working, but there was no information available regarding why he passed away. He will be remembered not only for his brilliance but also as a kind and kind friend because of his unwavering spirit and love of life.

Kent was raised in Essex, England, where he was born. He made his acting debut in the Kiefer Sutherland horror film “Mirrors” in 2008 and in the British comedy series “Shameless” in 2004.

He played a goatherd who showed Daenerys Targaryen, played by Emilia Clarke, the burned body of his child who had been killed by one of her dragons, in the final episode of season 4 of “Game of Thrones” in 2014.

Additionally, Kent appeared in the British soap opera “EastEnders” and the 2018–19 limited series “Les Miserables.” Recently, he appeared in a humorous moment alongside Chris Pine as a useless reanimated body in the fantasy film “Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves.” On X, the replacement for Twitter, director Jonathan Goldstein posted a tribute to Kent. The actor described Kent as “a sweet, talented, and funny guy gone too soon.”

In 2007, Kent, a filmmaker, received his diploma from the Italia Conti Stage School. The short film “You Know Me,” which won best director and best short at the London International Monthly Film Festival in January 2021, and an episode of the BBC series “The Break” were both directed by him.
