Along with this, a fine of Rs 10,000 has been imposed on him.
Hazaribagh District Judge Sixth Kashika M Prasad on Thursday sentenced a man named Awadhdesh Kumar Yadav to life imprisonment for killing his wife. Along with this, a fine of Rs 10,000 has been imposed on him.
Government advocate Bharat Ram, while completing the arguments, demanded the harshest punishment for convict Awadhesh Yadav.
Advocate Mahendra Singh, appearing for the defense, completed the arguments.
Describing the three children of the deceased Babita Devi as minors, the government advocate demanded rehabilitation from the court. Apart from this, directions were also issued for compensation to the victim. Accepting the application, the court directed to rehabilitate.
In 2017, a case was registered in Giddi police station of the murder of Awadhesh’s wife. While registering the FIR, the father of the deceased Babita Devi had accused son-in-law Awadhesh Yadav of murder.
It was told in the application that the accused suspected that the wife was having an illicit relationship with someone else. He did not even consider their children as his own. Due to this, the quarrel between the two escalated.
Even on the day of the incident, the two had a dispute after which the accused killed his wife who was sleeping in deep sleep.
