Anna's absence from social media over the past few months makes it difficult to determine the current status of their marriage.
Is Anna Divorcing Josh Duggar: The Duggars view marriage as a “covenant with God,” which means that their adherents will avoid divorce at all costs. Viewers of ‘Counting On’ are aware that Anna and Josh Duggar’s marriage has already survived numerous scandals. Could the conviction of Jim Bob and Michelle’s oldest child for child sexual abuse material (CSAM) be the final straw?
Anna’s absence from social media over the past few months makes it difficult to determine the current status of their marriage. It does not appear, however, that the mother of seven intends to divorce Josh.
After child pornography was discovered on a work computer at Josh’s auto dealership, he was charged. On December 9, 2022, a jury found Joshua guilty of receiving and possessing CSAM. Today, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
Anna was present during Josh’s trial, and she even allowed her children to meet him before the hearing.
This makes logic given Anna’s prior remarks on marriage after Josh’s affair with Ashley Madison in 2015. During the second episode of Season 1 of Counting On, Anna discussed how the infidelity affected her and her views on divorce.
When queried directly about her marital intentions, Anna stated unequivocally that she and Josh would never divorce.
After the 2015 Ashley Madison scandal, Josh wound up leaving for an extended period of time to participate in a “Christian recovery programme” After that, he did not return to Counting On, and the programme was cancelled in June 2021.
Obviously, this occurred before the CSAM investigation commenced. Not to mention that Josh’s cousin Amy (Duggar) King publicly requested that Anna abandon him permanently.
It appears that we will have to observe Anna’s ultimate decision. The sentencing date for Josh Duggar has been scheduled for May 25, 2022.
