Thanksgiving Dinner: The best places you can buy your food

CountingAnimals.com says that up to 37 million turkeys are eaten as part of the usual meat for Thanksgiving. This is the second biggest holiday in the US, after Christmas Day.

People who eat Thanksgiving have two different tastes: those who like to cook themselves and those who would rather eat at a nearby restaurant. But which places are open? These are 15 of them:

  • Red Lobster
  • Golden Corral
  • Tony Roma’s
  • BRIO Italian Grille
  • Domino’s
  • Applebee’s
  • Boston Market
  • Bob Evans
  • Buffalo Wild Wings
  • Burger King
  • Chart House
  • Denny’s
  • Eddie V’s
  • IHOP
  • Maggiano’s Little Italy

Why do people in the US enjoy Thanksgiving?

The holiday has its roots in 1621, when the Wampanoag people and the Pilgrims, a group of European colonists, came to America. The feasts are based on the food they share.

It was Thanksgiving morning, and the colonists were out shooting. They were mostly after easy game like geese and ducks.

After a very good session, almost 100 Wampanoag people showed up at the camp out of the blue. They hung out with the other group without any problems.

In the past, it was a religious holiday with days of prayer, safe blessings, safe travels, good harvests, and war victories. Many of these traditions are still observed today, even though they aren’t religious.

Usually, turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie make up the typical Thanksgiving meal. Based on data from vehicle travel, the holiday is the busiest of the year as families get together for the big parties. This is in contrast to Christmas, when people tend to stay close to home and there is less traffic.
