IIT Patna: Admissions: Under the Visvesvaraya PhD Scheme Phase II, IIT Patna invited applications for admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) program in order to cover the vacant seats. The application deadline for the program is 11:59 p.m. on November 5, 2023.

The official notification states, “The ‘Visvesvaraya PhD scheme’ is exclusively for candidates interested in conducting research in the fields of IT/IT enabled Services (ITES) and Electronic System Design and Manufacturing (ESDM).”
The application fee is INR 1000 for the General/EWS/OBC-NCL category and INR 500 for the SC/ST/PwD/Women/Transgender category. Payment of the application fee must be made electronically via SBI Collect. Refunds of the application deposit are not permitted. A reference/journal number will be generated subsequent to the payment; this number must be included in the application form. Additionally, the printed e-receipt of payment should be diligently preserved.
Upon the effective completion of the online application process, candidates will be notified of the application details via the registered email addresses they provided. It is mandatory for candidates to obtain a hard copy of the application details via email subsequent to submitting an online application. On the day of the test/interview, the candidate must present this printout in addition to self-attested copies of mark sheets and certificates (ranging from class X to the highest degree earned or applied for), caste certificate (if applicable), GATE/NET/relevant certificate pertaining to any fellowship, experience certificate, and other testimonials (on both sides). Failure to do so will result in the rejection of the candidature.

Individuals who wish to apply to multiple departments are required to submit distinct applications accompanied by separate payment of the application charge. A separate fee must be paid for every individual application.
