Exam Format
The Preliminary Exam consists of two portions and is a multiple-choice objective test.
Section A: Reasoning Capability: This portion assesses a person’s capacity for thought and analysis. Questions in subjects like logical reasoning, mathematical reasoning, and data interpretation are included.
Section B: General Awareness: The understanding of current events, Indian history, geography, and economics is tested in this section.
The exam lasts for two hours and is worth 100 points in total.
